Abstract: This is
a quantitative correlation study-based research evaluating the readiness of
Eastern Samar State University after the first batch of graduates of the K to
12 Basic Education Program. The respondents of this study were 139 faculty
members who were randomly selected from nine (9) different colleges of Eastern
Samar State University namely: College
of Arts and Sciences, College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, College of
Nursing and Applied Sciences, College of Computer Studies, College of
Technology, College of Education, College of Business Management and
Accountancy, and College of Criminal Justice Education. Percentage and mean
were used to obtain the primary data. Pearson r was used to correlate the
independent and the dependent variables. The level of significance was set at
0.05 for accepting and rejecting the null hypotheses. Results of the study
revealed the following: the profile of the faculty in terms of Highest
Educational Attainment, Teaching Experience, Training and Seminars attended,
and Workload have no significant relationship with the perception of teachers
on their professional readiness.
