SSR Publisher Article Processing Fee (APC) Policy
At SSR Publisher, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of academic publishing while making all research articles freely accessible to readers worldwide through our open access model. To support the costs involved in the publishing process, we charge an Article Processing Charge (APC) once a manuscript is accepted for publication.
1. What is the Article Processing Charge (APC)?
The APC is a fee that authors, or their institutions or funders, are required to pay upon the acceptance of a manuscript. This fee covers the costs associated with:
- Peer Review, Editing and Proofreading, Production and Formatting, Online Hosting, Archiving and Digital Preservation, Promotion.
2. APC Amount
- Normal Processing Fee:
- Indian Authors: Rs. 3000
- Foreign Authors: $50
- Fast Track Processing Fee:
- Indian Authors: Rs. 7000
- Foreign Authors: $100
3. APC Waivers and Discounts
SSR Publisher is committed to supporting authors from all backgrounds, including those with limited financial resources. We offer:
- Partial Discounts: Available to authors from low-income countries or institutions that lack funding for publication fees.
Authors may apply for a discount during the submission process by providing relevant details about their funding situation. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
4. Payment Process
- APC Payment Notification: Upon acceptance of the manuscript, the corresponding author will receive an invoice for the APC.
- Payment Methods: Payments can be made securely via bank transfer, credit card, or PayPal. Instructions for payment will be provided with the invoice.
- Payment Deadline: The APC must be paid before the article is published. Failure to pay the APC within the stipulated period may result in delays in the publication process.
5. Refund Policy
- No Refunds: APCs cover the cost of processing and publishing the article, and once an article is published, SSR Publisher does not offer refunds. If an article is withdrawn by the author after payment.
6. Extra Fees
- Additional Pages: Manuscripts exceeding the standard 30-page limit may incur additional fees per extra page. The exact fee will be communicated during the submission process.
- Special Figures or Formatting: Articles requiring extensive figure preparation or specialized formatting may be subject to additional fees, which will be discussed with the authors before publication.
