Abstract: In regions like Somaliland, where healthcare resources are limited, Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection presents a significant public health concern. This study investigates the prevalence of HBV infection within a population at a single healthcare center in Somaliland. Our findings reveal a higher burden of HBV among older individuals, with a nearly equal distribution between males and females. Early detection, particularly in high-risk age groups, is crucial for controlling the spread of HBV and reducing its long-term impact on public health in Somaliland. Addressing this challenge requires targeted interventions to improve screening, prevention, and treatment efforts in resource-limited settings.
