In recent days’ organization and homes have been facing security issues of lives and properties is a major challenge over the years and has been the concern for different company and individuals in their different location. This has brought about the designing of this particular project to eliminate major issues on door security problems, this report presents the development of microcontroller-based security door system using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technique that control the entrance of the concerned user. in which correct installed tags has been entered into, RFID read the door will open and the user is allowed access to the restricted area. This design comprised the use of microcontroller, RFID reader positive Tags and IC motor as main components. In this design the identification number of the tag will be stored on the system which the user will insert into the RFID reader mounted on the door, information of the registered tag, the RFID card reader will verify if the card is the registered one or not, if the Tag information matches, RFID reader pass information to microcontroller unit (MCU) which will direct IC motor to open the door on successful authentication of the registered tags use by the user, the system allows new tag to register the tag identification through the Arduino ID software and burn on MCU to update the information registered on the MCU, the delay time of the system is 5second, in which it was incorporated in the system for the door the be Closed after opening, this system will maximize home security, eliminate the problem of lost key, lost or forgotten password and ease to use for both old and young users with low-cost installation and highly secured and this system is very sensitive providing sensitivity of 78.57% and it accuracy gives 91.9% which makes the system more reliable for the user.
