Abstract: The increasing accumulation of plastic waste has become a significant environmental challenge. One innovative solution is incorporating plastic waste into flexible pavement construction. This paper explores the benefits, techniques, and challenges of using plastic waste in flexible pavement. By doing so, it provides an environmentally friendly alternative that not only reduces plastic pollution but also enhances the durability and performance of roads. The study discusses the methods for incorporating plastic waste in bituminous mixes, the performance characteristics of plastic-modified pavements, and the potential environmental and economic impacts.
